About Jen

I spent 17 years in public health and human services. I was good at it. I was also slowly going numb. When I realized I was absorbing the suffering of others just to keep showing up, I stopped. I sat on beaches. I sat with beehives. I sat with nuns. I explored distant lands, danced, wrote, healed, and gave myself permission to feel everything I'd been managing around.

That detour became my direction.

I'm Jennifer Coffey — a Professional Certified Coach (PCC), Movement Medicine® practitioner, and contributing author to Love Notes from the Soul 2.0. I'm based in Los Angeles, where I recently moved to be closer to my mother and put down roots in a new community.

I work with people navigating the kind of change that doesn't fit neatly into a job description — professional pivots, life transitions, the wisdom years, and the quiet question of what comes next. My approach draws from Co-Active coaching, somatic awareness, and over a decade of movement practice in the 5Rhythms and Movement Medicine® lineages.

I'm especially lit up by the work I'm doing with women in perimenopause, menopause and beyond. I offer Moving Through — a weekly conscious dance practice rooted in the Movement Medicine® mandala — at the Electric Lodge in Venice, CA. Thursdays, 10:30am–noon. Come as you are.

When I'm not coaching or dancing, I'm walking long distances with my dog, reading memoirs and historical fiction, writing essays and short stories, cooking organic meals at home, and occasionally wondering about my next big adventure.
